IRHS Leo Club Calendar of Activities & News:
Indian River High School Leo Club
Plans are well underway for the Lions
sponsored “3rd Annual” LEO leadership
retreat—better known as the “LEO
Leadership Bash at the Beach.” Aside
from inviting all the LEO Clubs in Delaware, we have
extended an invitation to our eastern shore LEO Club
neighbors in Maryland.
To accommodate the anticipated larger group, we have
also moved the event to the spacious and gorgeously rural
Camp Barnes—a Delaware State Police owned and operated
camp, located in Sussex County, in Frankford, DE. (See aerial
image).
The “Bash” starts 1 PM sharp with a welcome from our
Lions District Governor, Cheryl Jones. An afternoon of fun
filled, action packed events, including: leadership building
activities, paddle bordering on Millers Creek (LEOs bring your
bathing suits!), a competitive certified obstacle course, group
review of lessons learned (each club will discribe their favorite
and most successful community service project), a BBQ with a
“LEO Corn Hole” competition, ending with a trophy! The
day’s events will conclude by around 6 PM.
